Spa Installation & Care Tips
Enjoy more. Worry less.
At The Spa Co Australia, we believe owning a spa should be a relaxing experience from start to finish. While Spa Maintenance isn’t a full-time job, a little regular care goes a long way toward keeping your spa in top condition for years to come. Whether you're setting up your spa for the first time or looking to get the most out of your regular routine, this guide has you covered.
🛠️ Getting Started: Installing Your Spa
Before your spa arrives, a bit of planning will make all the difference:
- Are you after a social hub for friends and family, or a personal space for hydrotherapy and recovery? This will guide your size and feature preferences.
- Indoors or outdoors? Make sure the location is level and has a solid base to support the full weight of the spa when filled with water and people. For a standard portable Spas, a minimum 100mm thick reinforced concrete slab is recommended as a foundation. For swim spas, or larger spas, a minimum 150mm thick reinforced concrete slab is generally advised
💧 Maintaining Your Spa: A Simple Routine
Keeping your spa healthy doesn't have to be complicated. With a few weekly habits, you'll enjoy cleaner water and a longer-lasting investment.
- Use test strips to monitor pH, alkalinity, and sanitiser levels. For the best results, bring a water sample into your local spa store for a professional test once a month.
- Use a spa pipe flush product to clean the internal plumbing, pumps, and heater. This step helps protect your spa's components and ensures a smoother spa experience.
